A-Z Manufacturing Ltd has been selected among the Top 6 ventures of the WFP IGNITE 4.0 programme (2026), and is receiving mentorship from Impact Hub as part of the programme.

IGNITE is an innovation programme supported by the World Food Programme (WFP) that backs ventures working to strengthen food systems. Being selected among the top ventures is recognition of A-Z Manufacturing's work designing and building agricultural and agro-processing machines in Rwanda.

Why this matters

• For farmers and processors: more support to build affordable, locally made machines that reduce post-harvest losses and add value to crops.
• For food and nutrition: machines such as our Sombe (cassava leaves) machine and Smart Uhira smart irrigation contribute directly to better nutrition and food production.
• For A-Z: expert mentorship from Impact Hub on strategy, investment readiness and growth, helping us scale from our Karongi workshop to serve more of Rwanda and the region.

Our journey so far

• Founded in 2021 in Karongi, Western Province
• 200+ machines built and installed
• 3,000+ farmers served
• 68+ students trained through A-Z Academy
• About 30 tonnes of CO₂ saved every year by replacing diesel machines
